Rank Math

Check every page the way Rank Math does, and fix what it reports.

What it checks

For sites with Rank Math, open Rank Math in the left menu and click “Check all pages”. Gralus reads every published page through the plugin, with your site's Rank Math settings (its power words and link settings), and runs Rank Math's own analyzer on it: the same code Rank Math runs in the WordPress editor. So each page's score out of 100 and the problems listed match what Rank Math shows, in Rank Math's words. Pages are checked again every month.

The list shows the lowest scores first, with Rank Math's colours: green above 80, orange above 50, red otherwise. Rank Math gives no score to a page without a focus keyword, so those show 0. Pages hidden from Google (noindex) are listed but not fixed. Shop products are left out, because Rank Math scores them differently. Needs plugin 0.15.0 or newer.

How a page is fixed

Click “Fix” on a page, or “Fix the 10 lowest-scoring pages”. For each page Gralus:

  • sets a focus keyword if the page has none: a tracked keyword the page ranks for, a search Gralus planned for it, or its title (other keywords the page already has stay after it);
  • writes a new SEO title that starts with the keyword and a meta description that contains it, with a power word and a feeling word where they fit, and a number only when a true one exists;
  • edits paragraphs and headings where the text has problems (keyword near the start, in a subheading and in the text, keyword density, text length, long paragraphs, links to other pages of the site), keeping every fact and existing link;
  • checks the result with Rank Math again, and keeps the text changes only when the page scores better.

Images, buttons, embeds and everything else on the page stay exactly as they are. Pages built with Elementor, Divi or another page builder get the keyword, title and description only.

Review and publish

Each fixed page waits in Approvals as one fix, with the score before and after, what changed and what Rank Math still reports. Edit the keyword, title or description, or leave the text changes out; Gralus checks it with Rank Math again when you save. After approval the plugin writes the changes, keeps a WordPress revision of the page, and sets Rank Math's SEO score, so the score in WordPress's page list matches. Undo puts back the keywords, title, description, text and score. If the page was edited in WordPress after the fix was written, publishing stops and asks you to check it again.

What stays for you

Some of Rank Math's points need a person: a table of contents block, images or video, the keyword in an image's alt text, links to other websites, and the page address. Rank Math also gives 5 points only for using its paid Content AI. These stay in the list with a note. Up to 3 fix runs of 10 pages per site per day.
