Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants

Connect an AI assistant to Gralus over MCP and ask about your sites in plain words.

What it does

Gralus has an MCP server, so an AI assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can read your Gralus reports and answer questions like “How often does ChatGPT name us this week?” or “What should I fix first on example.com?”. Editors can also approve or reject drafts, start a site check and have a landing page written, all from the chat.

The address is https://gralus.com/api/mcp. You sign in to Gralus to connect, and choose which workspace the assistant can use.

Connect it

  • Claude (claude.ai or the desktop app): Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste the address, then Connect and sign in to Gralus. Custom connectors need a paid Claude plan.
  • ChatGPT: Settings → Apps → Advanced → Developer mode, then Create app with the address and OAuth.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http gralus https://gralus.com/api/mcp
  • Cursor, VS Code and other tools: add it as a remote (HTTP) MCP server with the address. They open Gralus in the browser to sign in.

On the Gralus page that opens, pick the workspace and click Allow. Settings → AI assistants in Gralus shows the same steps.

What the assistant can do

Read (any role): list_sites, get_site_summary, list_tasks, get_ai_visibility, get_rankings, get_search_console, get_site_health, list_approvals and get_draft.

Act (editors, admins and owners): approve_draft publishes a draft to your site, reject_draft rejects it, run_site_check starts a site check, and write_landing_page has a landing page written as a draft. Daily publishing limits, plan limits and paused billing apply as they do in the app, and every action is in your workspace's activity log with the assistant's name.

It can't change billing, members, settings or connections. Pages Gralus writes always wait in Approvals until a person approves them.

Disconnect

Settings → AI assistants lists every connected app with the workspace and when it was last used. Disconnect stops it at once. Removing a person from the workspace, or lowering their role, also changes what their connected assistants can do on the next call.

Your data

The assistant receives only what each tool returns, for the one workspace you allowed, and only while you are a member. Gralus stores the connection (the app's name, the workspace, when it was last used) and short-lived sign-in tokens, kept only as hashes. Gralus never sees or stores your conversations with the assistant. What the assistant's maker does with the conversation is covered by its own privacy policy.

No site yet?

A workspace with no website of its own answers with the sample site (BrightSmile Dental, made-up data), so you can try the assistant first. The sample can be read and its drafts rejected, but nothing is published or checked.

Limits and help

Up to 120 tool calls a minute per connection. Sign-in tokens last an hour and renew on their own for 30 days of use. If something doesn't work, write to us through the support page or at [email protected].
